S Status formed about a year ago after a jam session. The members are comprised of four George Mason University Jazz alumni/students. They decided to create a music that blended each members creative juices, and brought about a style that is deeply rooted in funk, soul, jazz, and blues. Their music is continuing to open minds in every performance, bringing possibilities of how these genre’s can be stretched and molded to produce something electrically organic.
